1 Nefi
V fejezet
1. And it came to pass, after we came to the wilderness towards our father, behold, he was filled with joy, and our mother, Saria also exceedingly rejoiced, because already truthfully mourned because of us.
2. Because that she thought, that we were lost in the wilderness; and onto my father complained also, that modogatván to him, visions seeing person, saying: Behold you led us away off of the land of our inheritance, and already my sons are no more, and we are lost inside the wilderness.
3. And my mother towards like this speaking complained onto my father.
4. And it came to pass, my father spoke towards her, saying: I know that, that being visions seeing person I am; because if inside a vision I wouldn't have seen the things of God, then I wouldn't have recognized God's goodness, but I would have remained inside Jerusalem, and I would have been lost with my brethren.
5. But behold, elnyertem a promised land, which inside these things I rejoice; yea, and I know the Lord will save my sons out of Laban's hand, and once again bring them later towards us in the wilderness.
6. And with towards like this speech my father comforted, Lehi my mother, Saria in the relationship with us, while we inside the wilderness in the direction of the land of Jerusalem we went, that, that being we should obtain the Jew's record.
7. And when we returned towards my father's tent, behold, their joy was full, and my mother was comforted.
8. And spoke, saying: Now with certainty I know, that the Lord commanded to my husband that into the wilderness to flee; yea, and that also with certainty I know, that the Lord protected my sons and saved them out of Laban's hand, and gave to them power, which through it they can bring to completion the thing, that the Lord commanded to them. And with this type of speech spoke.
9. And it came to pass, that exceedingly they rejoiced, and sacrifices and burned offerings they offered up to the Lord; and they gave thanks to the God of Israel.
10. And after they gave thanks to the God of Israel, my father, Lehi took the records, which on plates of brass were engraven, and starting from the beginning studied them.
11. And saw, that those kept in the five books of Moses, are those which give a record of the world's creation, and about Adam and about Eve also, who were our first parents.
12. And the record of the Jews also from the beginning, entirely towards until the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah, King of Judah.
13. And the holy prophet's prophecies as well, from the beginning, entirely towards until the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah; and a lot of prophecies as well, which the lips of Jeremiah spoke.
14. And it came to pass, that my father, Lehi found on the brass plates to his fathers a genealogy of as well; knowing therefore, he is a descendant of Joseph; yea, namely that Joseph, who was Jacob's son, who they sold into Egypt, and who the Lord's hand preserved that He should preserve his father, Jacob, and the entire people of his house, taken out of starvation.
15. And they also, that same God led them out of captivity and from the land of Egypt, Who preserved them.
16. And like this my father, Lehi, felfedezte his father's genealogy. And Laban was also a descendant of Joseph, he and his fathers preserved therefore the records.
17. And now, when my father all of these things saw, he was filled with the Spirit, and started to prophesy relevant to his seed.
18. That, that being these brass plates later come to every nation, nemzetség, language, and people, who are his people.
19. Behold that he said, that being these brass plates never will be lost; and the time will never more elhomályosítani them. And many things he prophesied relating to his seed.
20. And it came to pass, that mindezidáig I and my father kept the commandments, which the Lord commanded to us.
21. And we obtained the records, upon which the Lord gave to us commandments, and we studied them, and that we found, that being kívánatosak; yea, even with great worth they bear to us, insomuch, that through them we can preserve the Lord's commandments on behalf of our children.
22. Behold it was according to the Lord's wisdom, that with us vigyük them, as soon as inside the wilderness towards the promised land we go.
So, I thought that I would just reiterate, in case anyone new who hasn't read the previous posts reads this, that this is just language practice for me. In no way is this meant to replace reading the Book of Mormon in English, but it is hopefully a fun and interesting read to give people an idea of what it is like to read the Book of Mormon in Hungarian.
