VI fejezet

1. And now I, Nephi, don't give the genealogy of my fathers in my records in this part; and with a different occasion I wouldn't give that on these plates, which I write; because that already exists given in that record, which my father őrzött (Google translates this to Valet, but the word in the English scriptures is "kept."  I imagine that this wasn't translated as "tartotta" because I'm guessing that őrzött has some connotation of "which my father (kept safe/in good condition, kept/taken care of)."  That's just a guess though, I really have no idea why they wouldn't have used tartotta, because there is no indication in the English scriptures of what condition Lehi kept the scriptures in, just that he kept them.) ; so in this work I don't write down that.

2.  Because to me enough, if I say that amount, that being Joseph's descendants we are.

3. And that to me doesn't mean, that I should be particular and full account give of all the things of my father, because those it isn't possible to write upon these plates, what with my desire for a place, that I might write about the things of God.

4. Because the fullness of my intent is that, that being the people meggyőzhessem, that they should come to the God of Abraham, and to the God of Isaac and to the God of Jacob, and be saved.

5. Therefore those things, which please the world, I do not write down, but instead those things which please God and those, who are not of this world

6. Commandments I give therefore to my seed, that they don't occupy these plates with that kind of  things, which do not bear worth on behalf of the children of men
